How Scoring Works

MLS Fantasy uses a detailed and transparent scoring system that rewards all aspects of the game.

Players earn points for:

• Goals, with different values depending on position
• Assists and key passes
• Clean sheets for defenders and goalkeepers
• Successful dribbles, duels won and defensive actions
• Saves and penalty stops for goalkeepers

There are also deductions for yellow cards, red cards, own goals and missed penalties. In short, every action counts.

That means a midfielder controlling the tempo or a defender making crucial clearances can be just as valuable as a goalscorer.

Transfers and Strategy

Each gameweek, you get five free transfers. Use them wisely.

Unused free transfers do not carry over to the next round. Any additional transfer beyond the free limit will cost you five points. So planning ahead is essential.

There are also special tokens that can completely change your approach:

Triple Captain allows you to earn triple points from your captain instead of double.

Quick Fix gives you unlimited transfers for one gameweek, with changes reset afterward.

Rebuild Squad enables unlimited transfers during a gameweek and is available twice per season, once in each half.

Only one token can be used per gameweek. Timing is everything.

Live Squad Changes and Captaincy

MLS Fantasy also includes live squad management.

Players are locked once their match in a round starts. However, if at least one player in your squad is still unlocked, you can make changes.

Your captain’s points are doubled every round. Choose wisely. A strong captain can carry your entire week.
